The AlterPath PM is a family of Intelligent Power Distribution Units (IPDU) that enables remote power control of servers and network gear. When used in conjunction with Avocent console servers or Avocent KVM switches, the AlterPath PM delivers easier management capabilities and faster problem solving by integrating console and KVM access with power control into one single interface.

AlterPathT PM Specifications NEMA models
The AlterPath PM NEMA models use NEMA connectors for the power input and for the power output. In the input it has different types of NEMAconnectors depending on the maximum current chosen. On the output, all models have NEMA5-15R receptacles. There is also the option to get twist-lock input connectors that makes the connection plug/receptacle more stable.
All models have two RS232 ports. One for management and the other for daisy-chain connections. You can daisy-chain up to 128 power outlets that will behave as a single power management unit.
An LED display shows the current drawn by the unit in real time and you can be notified of an over current condition via a sound alarm or via e-mail/SMS/SNMP if the unit is connected to a Avocent console server or to a Avocent KVM switch.
The NEMA models were designed to work on 100-127Venvironments and have the proper certificates to be safely deployed. Please see the table below for all available models.
