The Intransa StorStac System line offers unmatched storage scalability combined with ultra-high performance, perfect for the most demanding customer environments. Typical customer implementations include data streaming applications, video on demand (VoD), IPTV, medical and document imaging, decision support systems, data mining and data warehousing. Customers can add additional Performance Controller Units (PCUs) for increased performance and for additional failover capability. You can also add Storage Capacity Enclosures (SCEs) for truly monolithic storage growth and increased spindle count. Or add both simultaneously, as your needs grow.
The Intransa IP Storage line provides better performance and far more scalability than storage bricks, with all of the ease-of-use of the StorStac family but at an even more economical price. The IP Storage line is ideal for the needs of storage consolidation, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server, disk-to-disk (D2D) backup, and disk libraries. Just as in the StorStac System line, you can grow capacity and performance independently: add additional Storage Controller Modules (SCMs) for increased performance and for additional failover capability; or add Disk Enclosures (DEs) for outstanding storage capacity and increased spindle count. Then just like the StorStac System, add both SCMs and DEs simultaneously as your environment and needs grow.
Both the Intransa StorStac System and IP Storage lines support their advanced GUI and CLI interfaces, offer RAID protection, and include a wide range of software features. Do you want the power and capability of block-based SAN from Intransa but need a file-based NAS solution? Not a problem, as both product lines integrate with common, proven NAS systems from PolyServe, Quantum / ADIC, Lustre, and other vendors, in fully integrated storage solutions to fit customer needs.
